R265 STORAGE UNIT FOR MOBILE PHONE INTERFACE
The R265 storage unit for mobile phone interface performs two functions:
//
‘Mobile signal amplifier’ function
The phone signal is amplified using the R11 roof aerial for enhanced signal transmission. For this purpose, the R308 aerial amplifier is used, which optimises transmission.
//
‘Wireless charger’ function
The mobile phone’s battery is charged wirelessly.
The R265 storage unit for mobile phone interface has two internal coils that generate an electromagnetic field for each of the functions.
ACTIVATION CONDITIONS
The mobile signal amplifier and wireless charger functions only require:
//
The contact fitted (terminal 15) or Infotainment system on.
//
The phone placed on the pad. The phones must be compatible with both functions.
USB ports and auxiliary input

OPERATING SIGNALS
// ‘Mobile signal amplifier’ function
The R265 storage unit for mobile phone interface
communicates with the R308 aerial amplifier by means
of a coaxial cable, to improve the transmission of the
signal with the R11 roof aerial.
// ‘Wireless charger’ function
The J794 control unit for information electronics
communicates with the R265 storage unit for mobile
phone interface to detect the phone and diagnose the
system.
The on-screen notifications on the infotainment screen
are:
// “A device is charging on the pad”.
// “Foreign object detection warning”. In this case,
the system warns of possible interferences
between the phone and the pad.
WIRELESS CHARGER IN VEHICLES WITH
KESSY
If the R265 storage unit for mobile phone interface
receives a key search warning (Wake up BCM), the
wireless charger system will stop charging the phone
battery for a few seconds until the key is located. This
avoids possible interferences with the Kessy system
aerials.
